KISSS Sports Turf Sub Surface Irrigation Installation
Since there is a variety of soil types which operate at various water absorbing capabilities, we offer calculated flow rates for our Below Flow irrigation products. Before determining your fit, we always recommend conducting a soil test before installation to test for:
Spacing for the Below Flow system
Depth of Below Flow products
Duration and frequency of irrigation cycles
Soil amendments you may want to consider for optimum plant health and water holding ability
Here is a simple breakdown of how the KISSS Plow works.
A. Cutting the turf - The front coulter disc slices the turf to minimize damage and disturbance to existing turf.
B. Placing KISSS subsurface - KISSS material is rolled off of a standard reel system, down the specially designed shank, and then out of the rear of the foot of the plow. This specially designed foot actually works to open the four-inch wide KISSS material so it lays flat underground.
C. Closing it up - The narrow slits initially made from the plow shank are driven back over with the tractor to seal the slits. The field is usually ready to use the following day.
