Green House Irrigation Installation
Submitted by Billie Jo Rosa on Mon, 11/22/2010 - 16:23The Ebb and Flow Mat capillary irrigation system is an extremely versatile irrigation system that can be installed on benches or directly onto the ground. Most of the time KISSS Ebb and Flow MAT is installed very easily and with little modification to the existing site. This is especially true when utilizing existing indoor or outdoor benches. Ground installation can be very simple as well. Typically cold frames need little or no modification. Our recommended preparation, however, is using a compactor or evenly raked gravel base.
How KISSS Capillary Mat Irrigation Works for Green Houses
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 11/22/2010 - 16:15Here is a Detailed Three Step Description of Ebb and Flow MAT's Irrigating Principals
STEP ONE:
Drip-Tapes deliver water to the sides of the specially designed three-layered nursery irrigation system. Water is evenly and rapidly distributed throughout the system using the mat's central layer of non-woven geo-textile. The bottom impervious layer contains the water to avoid leakage, while the top layer of mat both protects the geo-textile and minimizes loss of water to the air.
STEP TWO:

How KISSS Works For Golf Courses
Submitted by Billie Jo Rosa on Mon, 11/22/2010 - 16:02Across the country, golf courses are witnessing increased scrutiny to save water and ways to be more environmentally friendly. Traditionally, when faced with the prospect of consuming less water, all golf course managers could do was turn down sprinkler irrigation cycles. However this was problematic because golf course turfs still suffered. But now, with KISSS Subsurface Irrigation solutions, there is a better alternative to consuming less water, while maintaining the high quality of courses.
Commercial Turf Benefits
Submitted by Billie Jo Rosa on Mon, 11/22/2010 - 15:24KISSS Is Significantly More Efficient Than Sprinkler Irrigation and Drip Irrigation When Irrigating Landscape and Turf Sites
USE LESS WATER THAN ANY OTHER COMERCIAL IRRIGATION SYSTEM, A MORE INTELLIGENT SYSTEM:
Responsive to the moisture status of the surrounding soil. The water moves past very wet regions to drier, thirstier soil.
LESS DAMAGE AND VANDALISM:
Installed at approximately four to six inches below the ground, reducing the risk of mechanical damage.
